Hey there, Not Your Dream Newsletter Crew!

Welcome to the latest edition of the Not Your Dream Newsletter on Beehiiv—and if you’re catching this on my website, I’m glad you’re here too! I had the wildest dream last night, and I can’t stop thinking about it. It was so intense that I just had to share it with you. My senses got all meshed together, I felt this strange emotional sensation, and I ended up perceiving my higher self and lower self in a way I’ve never experienced before. Let’s dive into this dream and unpack what it might mean—I’d love to hear your thoughts too!

The Dream: A Sensory and Spiritual Journey

In my dream last night, everything started off feeling… off. My senses were blending in this bizarre way—like I could feel colors and see emotions. It’s hard to describe, but it was like a strange emotional sensation got tangled up with my other senses, creating this overwhelming, electric vibe. The Dream Studies Portal talks about how dreams can mix sensory experiences to process deep emotions, and that’s exactly what this felt like.

Then, things got even wilder. I found myself watching two versions of me: my higher self and my lower self. My higher self was radiant, glowing with this calm, golden light—like pure wisdom and peace. My lower self, though, was shadowy, restless, almost chaotic, like it was stuck in a loop of fear and doubt. I watched as something—maybe me, maybe some part of my consciousness—cycled between the two, moving from the lower self’s murky energy to the higher self’s serene glow. It was like I was witnessing my own spiritual evolution in real time.

The Big Question: Where Will “I” End Up?

As I watched this cycle, I started wondering: if I could connect with my higher self and really get to know it, would that be where “I” stay when I die? Like, is that the ultimate destination for my soul if I grow and evolve? Or, if I never progress—if I let my fears and doubts win—would I descend into the lower self’s reality, stuck in that chaotic, shadowy space forever? The Gaia Blog suggests that dreams of higher and lower selves can reflect your inner struggle between growth and stagnation, which really resonates with what I felt.

This wasn’t just a random dream—it felt like a glimpse into something bigger, maybe even a spiritual truth. The idea of my senses blending together made it so I could perceive these two selves in a way I never have before. It’s probably the wildest dream I’ve had in the past couple of years, and I woke up feeling both unsettled and curious.

What Might This Dream Mean?

I’m still processing this one, but here’s my initial take. The blending of senses could be my subconscious trying to break through my usual way of perceiving things, opening me up to a deeper spiritual experience. The Dream Moods Dictionary says that unusual sensory experiences in dreams often point to heightened intuition or a need to see things differently, which tracks with how I felt.
